Last May 19, I attended the launch of Lonely Planet Magazine Philippines, at the Ayala Museum in Makati. It was a great event. It was nice to see friends from the photography industry again. The event probably had around 300-400 guests, from friends of Bella Luce, representatives from the different embassies, and of course, executives from BBC. (Lonely Planet is partly owned by BBC).
Here’s a photo of me and my friends from the photography community at the launch.

(with Derick Gamboa, Aly Reyes, and Ickhoy De Leon. Thanks to Noel Puyat for the photo.)
The event was a success, and the Bella Luce Team knows how to throw great parties. Guests went home with a Lonely Planet goodie bag : A copy of the first issue, products and giveaways from Nivea and Energizer, who sponsored the event. Other sponsors included Caltex, Nokia, Thailand Tourism, Rudy Project, Columbia Sportswear and The North Face, Thunderbird Resorts, and The Peninsula Manila. Lucky guests went home with more prizes from these sponsors from the raffle during the event.
Do grab a copy of Lonely Planet Magazine Philippines, available now at Fully Booked outlets.
